Geothermal energy is energy derived from the heat of the earth. In France, ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) offers a financing program : the geothermal heat fund, to finance geothermal projects. It can be used at the level of :
Buildings (very low energy geothermal energy):
With groundwater or probe heat pumps, the building will be able to use geothermal energy to meet the heat requirements (heating, air conditioning, district heating networks), replacing a fossil solution. Thus, a feasibility study for a building is carried out in order to offer the best cost-effective solution with financial support from the geothermal heat Fund, insofar as the owner uses geothermal energy as a source of energy for heat consumption.
2-Heating networks (low and medium energy geothermal energy) :
Heat pump installations on probes or on groundwater for district heating and legal assistance for the sale of heat.
3.Geothermal power plants (high temperature deep geothermal energy) :
Electricity production (steam turbine and alternator) from geothermal energy. Feasibility study, construction, commissioning and maintenance realized with partners.
